Join Guernsey Seaweed’s expert guide for a fascinating journey into the world of “vraic” (Guernésiais for seaweed). Learn about its rich history, surprising uses in cooking, cosmetics, farming and fashion, and discover why seaweed has been such an important part of island life for generations.
After the foraging adventure, head to Balthazar for a specially curated seaweed-themed lunch. Enjoy three or four courses celebrating the island’s finest produce, from Guernsey crab, Channel seabass, scallops, or local beef, to Guernsey gâche, all crafted to highlight the flavours of the island. With its stunning seafront location, Balthazar offers the perfect setting to relax.
