About the event
Travel the ruettes tranquilles in an open safari Land Rover, meeting golden Guernsey cows, cheeky goats and the islanders who still live from their land and sea. Visit hedge-veg stalls, traditional working harbours and an early-1800s cottage with its original furze-fired oven.
Hear stories of vraic, salted fish and family recipes handed down through generations, then taste classic island dishes such as fèves au four (Bean Jar), freshly caught chancre and homard, and gâche melée apple cake with rich Guernsey cream.
A good-humoured, small-group tour celebrating the island’s heritage, people and produce.
